Antioxidants for Optimum Health
Eating right, getting regular exercise and managing
stress are all vital to achieving optimum health, but sometimes
it just isn't
enough. While vitamins and supplements shouldn't be taken as substitutes
for a healthy diet, they can be beneficial by filling in any gaps.
A high-quality antioxidant can help reduce free-radical damage
to the body, boost immunity, help reduce stress-related fatigue,
and increase musculoskeletal and skin integrity. In short, antioxidants
can provide an extra layer of protection for your health. (taken
from “Daily Tip” from www.drweil.com)
When it comes to obtaining the micronutrients your body needs,
the best possible source is food. Some examples of food sources
that are high in antioxidants are berries, tea (especially green
tea), vegetables, red wine, dark chocolate….. But circumstances
may prevent you from eating optimally every day. If this is the
case, supplements can help as insurance against gaps in your
diet. There are many different antioxidant formulas out
there. Look for
an antioxidant formula that provides mixed carotenoids, selenium
and coenzyme Q10. A good quality antioxidant formula I have found
is GREENS+® which is a natural, affordable, organic, whole food
supplement to promote a healthy immune system, and soluble and
insoluble fibers for effective colon cleansing.
No time is better to get started taking your vitamins and supplements
then the present as the cold and flu season is here. If you have
any questions regarding antioxidants or are interested in purchasing
GREENS+® please feel free to contact me (Nicole@completebody.net).
Best of health,
